Right to Work
Right to Work, checked once and ready to show
Hirers often need to know that a freelancer can work in the UK. On 3lanse, every 3lanser can have their identity and right to work checked free by the 3lanse team, the way the Home Office sets out.
When the check passes, your profile shows the Right to Work checked badge with its date, so you don't have to send copies of your passport to every new client.

Clear about what it is, and what it isn't
Right to Work checked means the 3lanse team has checked this person's identity and their right to work in the UK, the way the Home Office sets out, on the date shown.
It is not government approval, and it doesn't replace any check the law requires a hiring business to make itself. Statutory right to work checks apply to employers taking on employees today, and the government has announced plans to extend checks to some other working arrangements. Check GOV.UK for the rules that apply to you.

Questions
How much does the Right to Work check cost?
Nothing. The Right to Work check and the Right to Work checked badge are free for every 3lanser, on Free, Plus and Pro.
What is the difference between Right to Work checked and Verified 3lanser?
Right to Work checked covers your identity and right to work. Verified 3lanser adds the PQQ (on 3lanser Plus and Pro): the 3lanse team also reviews your answers and checks the tickets and insurance you told us about.
Does a 3lanse check give my business a statutory excuse?
No. It is a check made by the 3lanse team to help you hire with confidence. If the law requires your business to carry out its own right to work check, you still need to do that the way GOV.UK sets out.
Who can see my documents?
Your evidence is kept privately and only the 3lanse team can open it to make the check. Hirers see the badge and its date.
