The freelance platform for prequalified construction professionals

3lanse connects businesses directly with independent project, commercial, engineering and safety professionals. Members are checked against defined prequalification requirements before deployment, and their compliance is monitored throughout the engagement.

Why 3lanse

Freelance professionals, prequalified before deployment

Engaging an independent professional usually means chasing the same paperwork every time: insurance certificates, site cards, CVs, references and another prequalification questionnaire (PQQ) completed from scratch.

3lanse does that groundwork once, against defined requirements, and then keeps an eye on it. Businesses see who has been checked and what is in date. Professionals stop repeating the same forms for every new client.

Checked against defined requirements

Experience, qualifications, policies and insurance are assessed against the 3lanse PQQ. Members who meet the requirements are shown as PQQ Compliant.

Monitored throughout the engagement

Expiry dates are tracked, gaps are flagged and members are prompted to renew, so a profile reflects the current position rather than the day it was created.

Connected directly

Businesses message professionals directly and agree terms between themselves. There is no agency in the middle and no margin on the day rate.

Disciplines

Built for the people who deliver projects

3lanse launches with the independent roles construction and engineering projects rely on most.

  • Project managers and site managers

Running sites, programmes and teams from mobilisation to handover.

  • Quantity surveyors and commercial managers

Valuations, variations, cost reporting and contract administration.

  • Planners and civil engineers

Programmes, setting out, design coordination and technical delivery.

  • Temporary works professionals

Temporary works coordinators and designers working to recognised procedures.

  • Health and safety and CDM professionals

Advisors, inspectors and principal designer support.

  • Commissioning specialists

Testing, commissioning and handover on complex installations.

What 3lanse checks, and what it doesn't

We would rather be precise than impressive. Here is exactly what the different signals on a profile mean.

  • Uploaded is not the same as reviewed. A member can upload documents at any time. They are only treated as reviewed once a 3lanse reviewer has assessed them as part of the PQQ.
  • PQQ Compliant means a member's questionnaire and evidence have been reviewed against our defined requirements and accepted.
  • 3lanse Compliant means a member has completed the core profile checks and has in-date insurance recorded. It is an automatic check and lapses if the insurance does.
  • Suitability is still yours to judge. Prequalification covers defined checks; the right person for your project depends on the role, scope and engagement.
  • Reminders are not cover. 3lanse tracks insurance expiry dates and prompts renewals. It does not provide insurance.

Frequently asked questions

What is 3lanse?

3lanse is a freelance platform for independent construction, engineering and project delivery professionals and the businesses that engage them. Professionals build a profile, manage their compliance documents and run their invoicing on 3lanse. Businesses find and contact those professionals directly.

Is 3lanse a recruitment agency?

No. 3lanse does not employ professionals, supply them under agency contracts or take a cut of their day rate. Businesses and professionals connect directly and agree their own terms. The platform is funded by small memberships paid by both sides rather than finder's fees or commissions.

What does prequalified mean on 3lanse?

A PQQ is a prequalification questionnaire: a standard set of questions covering experience, qualifications, insurance, health and safety and business standing. 3lanse reviewers assess a professional's PQQ and supporting documents against defined requirements. Those who meet them are shown as PQQ Compliant.

Does prequalification mean a professional is right for my project?

Prequalification confirms that defined checks have been met. Whether someone suits a particular role still depends on the scope, the project and your own requirements, so you should review their profile, speak to them and carry out any checks specific to your engagement.

How does compliance monitoring work?

Professionals record expiry dates for their insurance and supporting documents. 3lanse tracks those dates, flags anything due or lapsed and prompts the professional to renew. Badges that depend on in-date insurance lapse automatically if the insurance does. Monitoring supports good practice; it is not a guarantee of legal compliance.

How much does 3lanse cost?

Professionals start on Freelanser, which is free. 3lanser Plus (£9 a month) adds PQQ review and invoicing, and 3lanser Pro (£19 a month) adds specialist tools for your discipline. Hiring companies can explore for free, or become a 3lanse Partner (£49 a month) to post jobs, see contact details and message 3lancers. There are no finder's fees or recruitment commissions.

Which disciplines can join?

3lanse launches with construction, engineering and project delivery disciplines, including project managers, site managers, quantity surveyors, commercial managers, planners, civil engineers, temporary works professionals, health and safety and CDM professionals, and commissioning specialists.
