Experience with the principal designer role

Under CDM 2015, a principal designer is needed on projects with more than one contractor. Some CDM advisers act as principal designer, others support an appointed principal designer or the client.

Check their experience on projects of a similar type and size, and relevant memberships such as APS or IOSH. HSE guidance on CDM 2015 (L153) sets out each duty holder's role.
