Are 3lancers prequalified?

Members who have completed the 3lanse PQQ (prequalification questionnaire) and had it accepted by a 3lanse reviewer show a PQQ Compliant badge and appear first in search results. Other members may still be completing it, and their profile shows which checks they have met.

Do I pay a finder's fee if I engage someone?

No. 3lanse is funded by small memberships. Companies can explore free or join as a 3lanse Partner for £49 a month. There are no finder's fees, placement fees or commission on the professional's day rate.

Who do I contract with?

You contract directly with the professional, usually their limited company or sole trader business, on terms you agree between you. 3lanse is not a party to the engagement and does not supply personnel under agency contracts.

Who handles IR35 and right-to-work checks?

The engaging business remains responsible for its own checks and, where IR35 applies, for making a status determination for each engagement. 3lanse profiles and PQQ records help you gather information, but they do not make those decisions for you.

Can I post a requirement instead of searching?

Yes. Company members can post a requirement with the discipline, location, start date and expected duration. Matching 3lancers can see it and register their interest, which opens a conversation with you.

What happens if a professional's insurance expires during an engagement?

3lancers record expiry dates and 3lanse prompts them to renew. Status badges that depend on in-date insurance lapse automatically, so you can see the current position on their profile. You should still confirm cover meets the requirements of your contract.
